ABOUT

ABOUT

PIC is an employability and leadership training program provided for teens ages 13-18.  Mentoring and life skill training is provided thru community leaders, local law enforcement volunteers, clergy and folks who care about the future of youth.  Participants meet monthly as a group, individually with mentors and again collectively to experience field trips to college campuses or to explore the trades and military service for their futures.

Mentors

Professionals, from all walks of life, who have been background checked with the Florida Department of Children and Youth, are assigned to spend one-on-one quality time in the life of participants.  Sometimes, just knowing that there is someone there for you, that hears and sees you, makes all the difference in the life of a teen.

Field Trips

Trips are designed to expose youth to areas they would not traditionally have an opportunity to engage with.  Hitting the campus of a variety of colleges, experiencing STEM jobs through the eyes of the Tuskegee Airmen and NASA provide new insights to opportunities for coming careers.
